The processing room is built strictly following national GMP standards. It has 10000 class clean rooms and 100 class clean benches. It uses the separate air conditioning system and ensure the cleanness of the inside environment. The cord blood units are subject to stem cell separation by removing red blood cells and plasma before cryoprotectant is administered into the processed units. Automatic processing system is applied to ensure the centrifugation and isolation of HPC is completed in the fully enclosed environment. The recovery rate of stem cells is increased and the quality of the cord blood product reaches a high level in the world. At this stage, cell counts are conducted twice to calculate the cell recovery rate and the amount of total nucleated cell (TNC), so as to ensure the quality requirements are met.
